Strengthening Ties for Development: Sports Foundation visits SDH headquarters.

Last day January 8th, The Social Development Hub (SDH) had the honor of hosting at its facilities the president of the Portuguese Sports Foundation, Susana Feitor, in an institutional visit that marks an important step in consolidating strategic partnerships with international entities committed to human development through sport.

During the meeting, the SDH team enthusiastically presented the mission of the Cape Verdean organization, highlighting its areas of focus: leadership and empowerment, social entrepreneurship, inclusion and diversity, environmental and economic sustainability e technological innovation. There was also room to share ongoing projects and the medium- and long-term vision for transforming communities through the formation of collaborative networks and values-based programs.

The visit allowed for joint reflection on opportunities for future collaboration, identifying areas in which the Sports Foundation can contribute, namely in supporting initiatives that promote citizenship education, grassroots sport, and the empowerment of young leaders in vulnerable contexts. Mutual interest in [the subject] was evident. strengthen Portuguese-speaking ties and to explore concrete mechanisms of cooperation between Portugal and Cape Verde, through joint actions and projects with social impact.

For the Social Development Hub, these types of meetings are fundamental for consolidating a diplomacy of social transformation, based on solidarity, knowledge sharing and joint action. We believe that this initial contact could lead to fruitful partnerships, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals and the principles of the 2030 Agenda.
