On January 27th, the president of the Social Development Hub (SDH), Susana Duarte, signed a cooperation protocol with the Rector of the Jean Piaget University, Joanita Rodrigues, reinforcing the commitment to collaborative work for the development of Cape Verdean society.

The purpose of this protocol is to strengthen institutional relations and develop joint actions between Uni-Piaget and SDH, contributing to the strengthening of the social and community sector, with a focus on research, training, innovation and social entrepreneurship.

The cooperation between Jean Piaget University and SDH foresees joint actions in the areas of research, training, and community development. The partnership includes the University's participation in the Kumunidadi Summit, the provision of curricular internships for students, the creation of the Kumunidadi Podcast, the development of projects and funding applications, the implementation of the Social Academy, and the promotion of outreach, awareness-raising, and volunteer activities with an impact on human and social development in Cape Verde.

For Social Development Hub, the protocol symbolized a partnership that has already yielded contributions through the Kumunidadi Summit and the digital launch of the Social Academy.

Joanita Rodrigues emphasized that the University is available to participate and collaborate on high-level national and international research projects that can have a positive impact on the country, and that investing in scientific research is fundamental to finding solutions tailored to the challenges, promoting innovation, knowledge, and sustainable development.
