Safebook Horizons promotes active listening to Cape Verdean youth.

The Social Development Hub visited clubs, universities, and youth associations to listen to young people aged 15 to 30 on topics related to safety, inclusion, and social well-being, as part of the Safebook Horizons project.

Through conversations, debates, and participatory activities, young people had the opportunity to share their opinions, experiences, and concerns about different challenges they face in their daily lives. The contributions gathered will be fundamental in helping to create solutions better adapted to the reality of Cape Verdean youth.

The conversations that took place yielded important lessons and demonstrated the young people's interest in actively contributing to safer, more aware, and inclusive communities.

The discussions and activities focused on peer violence, cyberbullying, discrimination, substance abuse, reproductive health, safety, and digital literacy.

The project aims to continue engaging young people and encouraging the exchange of experiences and knowledge, promoting awareness and education initiatives for safety.

The Safebook Horizons project is being implemented in Bulgaria, Cape Verde, Italy, Serbia, South Africa, and Tanzania from November 2025 to April 2028, and is co-financed by the European Union.
