PT One of the fundamental programs of the Social Development Hub (SDH) is the SOCIAL INNOVATION LABORATORY in which it promotes the expansion of its partner networks and collaborative work.
Founded in October 2024 in Cape Verde, SDH is part of the global CUFA network, present in more than 60 countries, which promotes cultural activities in the areas of sports, education, citizenship, and the arts as a tool for the integration and social inclusion of marginalized communities.
CUFA, created by Celso Athayde, is recognized by the United Nations in key areas such as Housing, Afro-descendants, and Youth. It was the winner of the 2025 HEROS OF TOMORROW award at a ceremony in Rome. Through impactful initiatives such as Mastercard's Strive project and the Women of Favela Social Innovation Labs, SDH – Cape Verde aims to empower leaders from vulnerable communities, promote social integration, and drive sustainable systemic change.

Project scaling programme, with the formation of consortium networks for best implementation practices and impact acceleration.
02. What is the Laboratory's Strategy?
The strategy is to recognize programs and projects that are considered best practices and have a proven track record of community impact, so that they can be replicated in new contexts and with a network of specialized partners.
03. How can I participate in the Laboratory?
If your organization has a recognized project or program with evidence of creating impact and transforming the social fabric. If you want to scale up this project or program and it is aligned with our values, we are ready to partner with you.
04. What is the added value of the Social Development Hub?
We bring the knowledge, network of contacts, and ability to mobilize resources to bring proposals to fruition. These are on a local, regional, national, transcontinental, or global scale.

The members of Social Development Hub have proven experience in implementing social programs. We are enthusiastic about new opportunities and ideas that are disruptive and can solve challenges that traditional solutions cannot guarantee success.
